The exhaust strips with thermal resistance for CAFE RACER type free exhaust lines provide protection against burns for the motorcyclist but also maintain the temperature of the exhaust and thus reduce the radiation of heat up to at 50%.
The high heat in this area is often responsible for premature wear of the peripheral components of the engine compartment.
